About Me

Hi! My name is Alvin and I am a Backend Software Engineer at Kitu Systems. In my current role I mainly program in JavaScript. I develop new features and troubleshoot to ensure our software is compliant with California's 2030.5 standards. I am involved in all aspects of the software development cycle and have been involved with conceptualization of software imlementation to deployment.

My background is in Healthcare and Biotechnology and I found my passion for software development from my previous role as an Assistant Study Director at Crown Bioscience. In this role, I managed teams of two to four technicians in executing research studies and I naturally gravitated towards creating more efficient processes through Microsoft Excel. I transitioned into solving problems through freeCodeCamp, and I'm now pursuing my passion as a Software Engineer.

In my free time I enjoy being active including surfing, indoor/outdoor volleyball, and hiking.
